Job summary

Eden Health Care Services in Winkler, Manitoba, is seeking a casual Cook to support the Food Service Department at the Eden Mental Health Centre. Reporting to the Support Service Manager, you will prepare and cook meals and ensure delivery to patients, staff and visitors.

This role requires a Food Handler certificate or willingness to obtain it within six months, and preferably completion of an accredited culinary program.

Qualifications

  • Certificate in an Accredited Food Handler Training Program required; or willing to attend Food Handler Training Program in the first six (6) months of employment.
  • Completion of an Accredited Culinary Program preferred.
  • Minimum 1-year experience in the Healthcare/Food services industry preferred.
  • Other combinations of education & experience may be considered

Responsibilities

Hours of Work: 2080 annually; 8 hrs/day

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Support Service Manager, the Cookis responsible forthe daily preparation,cookingand delivery of safe, nutritious meals to the patients,staffand visitors of the facilityin accordance withdepartmental policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:Education/Certification:

  • Certificate in an Accredited Food Handler Training Program required; or be willing to attend Food Handler Training Program in the first six (6) months of employment.
