Job Summary

If you join us as a Food Service Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Driving the financial success of the unit.
  • Leading all aspects of food preparation, menu planning and development, operations, budgeting, costing, and inventory management.
  • Recruiting, hiring, scheduling, and handling administrative duties.
  • Maintaining excellent client relationships and ensuring client satisfaction with service and menu options.
  • Ensuring compliance with Compass’s Quality Assurance, Occupational Health and Safety Act, and WHMIS regulations.
  • Conducting workplace inspections and WHMIS training for staff, and managing these processes effectively.

  • At least two years of related food service management experience, including one year in catering.
  • Ability to control food and labor costs.
  • Creativity in applying trendy food items and presentation techniques.
  • Strong leadership, motivation, and mentoring skills.

  • Excellent client relationship skills.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Culinary skills are a plus.
