What You’ll Do

This isn’t your typical job. Whether you’re serving great food, supporting patient nutrition, maintaining clean and safe environments, or keeping hospital operations running smoothly, your work makes a real difference. You’ll be part of a team that supports every corner of the healthcare experience – enhancing the well‑being of patients, families, staff, and the wider community every day.

As a Food Service Worker/Server, you will sit on the property where food is prepared. You’ll assist in setting up and serving food from counters and steamtables, clean and sanitize equipment and work stations, and perform other duties as assigned by Sodexo. The general responsibilities include those listed above, but additional responsibilities may be added depending on business needs and client requirements.

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred.

Food handlers certificate, vulnerable sector check, proof of COVID‑19 vaccine, tuberculosis test.

Presents self in a highly professional manner to others and understands that honesty and ethics are essential.

• Ability to maintain a positive attitude.

• Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8, 10, or 12 hours).
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 40 pounds.

Working conditions may include a generally indoor setting; supervisors may oversee outside activities and events. Varying schedule to include evenings, holidays, weekends, and extended hours as business dictates. The employee may be exposed to heat or cold during support of outside activities. The noise level is usually moderate to loud.
