What You'll Do

The County of Bruce is seeking applications for Food Service Workers at Brucelea Haven Long-Term Care Home in Walkerton, Ontario. Reporting to the Dietary Services Manager, this position is key to the facility, preparing and serving meals to the residents of the home in a pleasant and respectful manner. Weekend and shift work is required.

What We're Looking For

Education & Experience
•Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
•Current enrollment, or completion of the Food Service Worker Certificate
•Safe Food Handling Certification
•Food service experience, preferably in an institutional setting, is preferred

Skills & Abilities
•Mature, reliable and able to work with minimal supervision
•Able to work within a team environment
•Genuine interest in the well-being of the elderly
•Demonstrated patience, adaptability and flexibility
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills
•Able to lift objects up to 50 lbs
•Clear criminal background check including vulnerable sector screening
•Two-step TB skin test
