Compass Group Canada is seeking a Food Service Worker to prepare, present and serve meals with emphasis on quality and presentation. You will perform prep work, set up daily items, and handle cash transactions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining food safety, assisting cooks, stocking supplies, and ensuring cleanliness and safety across all service areas. Previous healthcare/food service exposure is a plus, and English proficiency is required.

Formación

• FoodSafe Level 1 Certification.
• Familiar with the use of a cash register is an asset.
• Strong time management and organizational skills to handle heavy workloads.
• Ability to work independently and in a team as required.
• Good command of English, both verbal and written.
• Past food service experience in healthcare, hotel, restaurant or fast food is an asset.
• Physical ability to perform the duties of the role.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare, present and serve meals, ensuring quality and presentation.
• Perform prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Carry pans, kettles and trays to and from work stations, stove and fridge safely.
• Store food with proper wrapping, dating and rotation procedures.
• Set up items for purchase on a daily basis.
• Perform general cleaning duties; remove trash and garbage to designated areas.
• Distribute supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
• Follow approved recipes and production standards for proper temperatures and portions.
• Notify cooks if temperatures fall outside acceptable limits.
• Serve customers in a friendly, efficient manner following service steps.
• Resolve customer concerns and relay information to supervisor.
• Ensure sanitation and safety compliance.
• Provide service in all retail areas, including cashiering and line serving.

The hourly wage is $20.00. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
