Job Description

The Food Service Worker will assist the manager with food/meal preparation, maintain cash receipts and meal records, and help complete daily reports. Maintain high standards of quality in food production, sanitation, and kitchen safety practices.

Responsibilities
  1. Prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu.
  2. Verify transactions by preparing a daily report.
  3. Understand meal inclusions.
  4. Store food accurately and hygienically.
  5. Serve food according to schedules and policies.
  6. Use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives.
  7. Prepare various food items and beverages timely.
  8. Add garnishments for customer satisfaction and visual appeal.
  9. Assist in cleaning refrigerators, freezers, and equipment.
  10. Follow food safety regulations for sanitation, handling, and storage.
  11. Adhere to uniform policy.
  12. Coordinate with the Manager to understand daily menu.
  13. Supervise food temperature requirements.
  14. Maintain cleanliness and organization in work and storage areas.
  15. Sanitize counters, steam tables, and equipment.
  16. Follow procedures for cleanliness and safety, including sweeping, mopping, and warewashing.
  17. Keep garbage and kitchen floors tidy and sanitary.
  18. Perform other duties as assigned, including in other kitchen areas.
  19. This role may involve physical activities such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended walking, and standing. Uniforms and PPE may be required.
