Job description

We are currently looking for a hard working and dedicated Food Service Worker to fill a Casual position at the Prince Rupert Regional Hospital.

Responsibilities
  • Assists the Cooks with blending, grinding, slicing, preparing salads, vegetables, sandwiches, and portioning desserts;
  • Measures and combines food and beverage ingredients;
  • Sets up and portions patient trays and/or resident meals with accuracy, including therapeutic diet items according to nutrition care plans;
  • Checks patient trays to ensure accuracy;
  • Prepares items such as tea, coffee and toast;
  • Washes dishes, pots, pans, utensils and performs general cleaning;
  • Serves staff meals and oversees the collection and receipt of cash for items purchased, including punching meal tickets.
