JOB SUMMARY :

Assists the Food Service Manager in preparation of food in the kitchen and or facilities at one of six facilities across South Carolina. Performs routine duties in the kitchen environment.

JOB DUTIES :

Prepares food as instructed and within DHEC standards. Weighs, blends and mixes ingredients according to directions. Cuts, slices, chops food.

Prepares dishes to run through commercial grade dishwasher. Hand washes pots and pans. Cleans and stores kitchen equipment after use.

Maintains food storage within DHEC guidelines. All other duties as assigned by the kitchen manager.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :

Education - A high school diploma and experience in quantity and quality cooking or in a bakery.

RESPONSIBILITIES

JOB KNOWLEDGE

Fundamental Job Knowledge - Fundamental working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to apply in varied situations

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No Supervisory Duties - Not responsible for supervising employees.

BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES

No Budget Responsibilities - No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

Stand for prolonged period

Walk or move about

Use taste or smell to detect or determine particular flavors or odors

WORK SCHEDULE : Standard Hrs : 28

COMPENSATION INFORMATION

10.00-$15.00 / hr

Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's .

ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL

Normal Operations

Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.

JOB LOCATION :

This position could be located at one of the following locations in SC : Pickens, Aiken, Summerton and Sunset
