Personal Support Worker - Bonnechere Manor

Bonnechere Manor is seeking a Food Service Worker to support the Dietary department under the supervision of the Food Service Supervisor. The role involves delivering high standards of food service in a sanitary environment, contributing to a resident-focused, interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

The Food Service Worker will:

  • Monitor, assess, transport, and restock supplies to ensure efficient, high-quality food service.
  • Proportion and serve food attractively based on resident preferences and dietary needs.
  • Support continuous quality improvement initiatives by providing constructive feedback and participating in relevant training.
  • Evaluate meal acceptance, communicate feedback to the kitchen, and adjust service as needed.
  • Foster a home-like dining environment, participate in special events, and respond to resident needs.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to health and safety regulations, including Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Grade 12 or equivalent education and experience.
  • Food Service Worker certification or a recognized culinary diploma, with Interprovincial Standards Red Seal status preferred.
  • Food Safety Awareness certification.
  • Experience in a Long-Term Care setting is an asset.
  • Strong communication, organizational skills, and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Physical ability to perform duties and flexibility to work shifts in a 24/7 operation.
  • Meet health standards required by Long-Term Care legislation.
Part-time Position
Wage Range

$29.14 - $29.55 per hour
