Job summary

Aramark in Toronto is hiring a Food Services and Catering Worker to serve meals in an Independent School setting and assist in event catering. You will set up catering logistics, serve guests, maintain clean service areas, and ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Set up catering services based on banquet orders and client requests.
• Serve guests food and beverages in buffet settings (breakfast, lunch, dinner).
• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of food service areas during events.
• Replenish food and beverage products during an event.
• Maintain a clean workstation, and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Wash work areas, prep and service areas.
• Keep daily temperature logs with a calibrated thermometer.
• Break down areas and return equipment to storage after events.
• Adhere to safety policies, including food safety and sanitation.
• Provide excellent customer service by anticipating guests' needs.
• Greet customers with a positive attitude and professionalism.
• Escalate concerns to supervisor as needed.
• Communicate and interact professionally at all times.
• Transfer supplies between work and storage areas.
• Dispose of waste properly and separate recyclables.
• Cross-train in other departments as required by a manager.
• Complete any other duties assigned by a manager.

This position also requires duties within the Catering department, when business requires. Catering is responsible for setting up events, transporting food and equipment, serving guests, and cleaning up after the event.

• Break down and clean food service areas and equipment after an event and return equipment to the proper storage area.

• Use proper food handling and food safety knowledge.
• Provide excellent customer service by anticipating guests' needs.
• Maintain a positive attitude and greet customers.
