Job Description

The Food Service Worker will assist the manager with food and meal preparation, maintain cash receipts and meal records, and help complete daily reports. They will uphold high standards of quality in food production, sanitation, and kitchen safety practices.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu.
  2. Verify transactions by preparing a daily report.
  3. Understand meal components and ensure proper storage of food in a sanitary manner.
  4. Serve food according to schedules and policies.
  5. Care for kitchen equipment, including knives.
  6. Prepare various food items, beverages, and add garnishments for presentation.
  7. Assist in cleaning refrigerators, freezers, and kitchen equipment.
  8. Follow food safety regulations for sanitation and storage.
  9. Adhere to uniform policies and connect daily with the manager to plan menus.
  10. Supervise food temperature requirements and maintain a clean work environment.
  11. Sanitize counters, steam tables, and other equipment.
  12. Follow procedures for cleanliness and safety, including sweeping, mopping, and ware washing.
  13. Maintain a neat garbage and kitchen floor area.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned, including various kitchen tasks.
  15. This role may involve physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended standing or walking. Uniforms and PPE may be required.
