Job summary

Aramark Canada in Kingston is hiring part-time food service workers to join Queen's Hospitality Services. You will greet guests, process orders at the POS, and help prepare, garnish, and present meals while maintaining a clean, safe dining area.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service or food service experience is an asset but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Follow all recipes and practice portion control to prepare, garnish, and present ordered items.
• Complete opening, on-going, and closing checklists as required.
• Perform general and specific cleaning tasks to adhere to health standards.
• Serve food according to meal schedules and department policies.
• Use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives.
• Timely preparation of a variety of food items.
• Coordinate and assist in major cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and cooking and serving equipment.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations for sanitation, food handling, and storage.
• Adhere to the uniform policy.
• Connect with the Manager daily to understand and accurately prepare menu for the day.
• Supervise the food temperature requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized work and storage area.
• Scrub and polish counters, clean and sanitize steam tables and other equipment.
• Follow established procedures for cleanliness and safety; duties include sweeping, mopping, ware washing.
• Maintain garbage collection site and kitchen floor areas in a neat and sanitary fashion.
• Perform other duties as assigned including other areas in the kitchen.
