Job Description

The Food Service Worker will assist the manager with food and meal preparation, maintain cash receipts and meal records, and help complete daily reports. They will uphold high standards of quality in food production, sanitation, and kitchen safety practices.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu.
  2. Verify transactions and prepare daily reports.
  3. Understand meal components and ensure proper storage of food in a sanitary manner.
  4. Serve food according to schedules and policies.
  5. Care for kitchen equipment, especially knives.
  6. Prepare a variety of food items and beverages timely.
  7. Add garnishments for presentation and customer satisfaction.
  8. Assist in cleaning refrigerators, freezers, and kitchen equipment.
  9. Follow all food safety and sanitation regulations.
  10. Adhere to uniform policy and connect daily with the manager for menu planning.
  11. Supervise food temperature requirements and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
  12. Perform cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, and ware washing.
  13. Maintain the garbage collection and kitchen areas in a sanitary condition.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned, including tasks in other kitchen areas.
  15. This role may involve physical activities such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking and standing, and may require uniforms and PPE.
  16. Qualifications

  • Food Service Certificate as needed.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow instructions.
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure.
