Bento in Beaverton, Ontario is hiring a Food Service Team Member (Sushi Chef). This part-time, onsite role starts immediately at $17.95/hour and includes full training; sushi experience is not required.

You will prepare sushi and menu items, maintain food safety logs, track production and inventory, and work with store staff to ensure smooth sushi bar operations using Bento tools. This position emphasizes teamwork and guest service.

Qualifications

• Food service experience required; sushi experience is an asset.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Comfortable using basic technology for communication and training.
• Ability to lift up to 20 kg (45 lbs).
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Food Handler Certification is an asset.

Location and hours

• Loblaws: B30 Beaver Avenue, Beaverton, ON L0K 1A0 | Sunday to Saturday, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm

Responsibilities

Food Service Team Members play a key role in preparing high-quality sushi while ensuring food safety standards, tracking production, managing inventory, and collaborating with store employees in a fast-paced environment. Full training is provided; prior sushi experience is not required.
