Job summary

A food service company in Halifax is seeking a food service supervisor to oversee staff, establish work schedules, and ensure quality standards are met. The ideal candidate will have a college diploma or equivalent experience and be ready to train staff. This is a full-time position offering $17.50 per hour with various shifts. Immediate start available.

Qualifications

Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Restaurant. Tasks: Establish methods to meet work schedules. Requisition food and kitchen supplies. Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food. Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation . Hire food service staff. Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards. Address customers' complaints or concerns. Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage. Prepare and submit reports. Supervision: 1 to 2 people. Experience: Will train.
