Food Service Supervisor

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.

Experience

1 year to less than 2 years.

Workplace Information

• On site
• Salary: $17.20 to $19.00 per hour (To be negotiated) / 30 to 40 hours per week
• Terms of Employment: Permanent employment, Full time
• Shift: Starts as soon as possible
• Vacancies: 2 vacancies

Responsibilities

• Establish methods to meet work schedules
• Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food
• Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures
• Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation
• Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
• Address customers' complaints or concerns
• Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage
• Establish work schedules

Support for Newcomers and Refugees

Assists with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees (for example: housing, transportation, storage, childcare, winter clothing, etc.). Recruits newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster (for example: Ukraine, Afghanistan, etc.). Supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition.
