We are currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals for the positions of Food Distribution Helper and Cook's Helper. These roles are vital in supporting our mission to create a safe and productive environment within our correctional complexes. ➨ Position Titles: Food Distribution Helper (GS-FOS-02) & Cook's Helper (GS-FOS-03)
️ Key Responsibilities:
As a Food Distribution Helper, you will clean and maintain food preparation equipment, assist with ordering, receiving, and distributing food products, manage inventory and storeroom security, support Point of Sales (POS) systems, and maintain storage areas. You will also provide on-the-job safety training, report equipment issues, and adhere to security and fire safety protocols.
As a Cook's helper, you will assist in meal preparation, distribution, and short-order cooking, ensuring portion control and adherence to recipes. You will manage procurement, inventory, and distribution of groceries while maintaining kitchen cleanliness and equipment. You will train offenders in food service operations, safety protocols, and hygiene practices to enhance their employability.

Successful completion of three years of secondary school, or
An acceptable combination of education, training, and/or experience.
➥ EXPERIENCE: Applies only to Cook's Helper position
EX1: Experience working in food services within a commercial or institutional setting, including meal preparation, and distribution of short-order cooking.
