Salary : From $22.32 to $28.39 per hour, plus allowances such as a $2,140 Correctional Service Specific Duty Allowance (CSSDA) and an Inmate Training Differential.

Key responsibilities
  1. Food Distribution Helper: clean and maintain food preparation equipment, assist with ordering, receiving, and distributing food products; manage inventory and storeroom security; support Point of Sales (POS) systems; maintain storage areas; provide on-the-job safety training; report equipment issues; adhere to security and fire safety protocols.
  2. Cook's Helper: assist in meal preparation, distribution, and short-order cooking; ensure portion control and adherence to recipes; manage procurement, inventory, and distribution of groceries; maintain kitchen cleanliness and equipment; train offenders in food service operations, safety protocols, and hygiene practices to enhance employability.
