Responsibilities
  1. Providing excellent customer service to patients through meal selection, preparation, and delivery.
  2. Preparing, portioning, labeling food products for patient meals and nourishments.
  3. Assembling patient meals according to diets and collecting food items for meal service.
  4. Delivering meals and collecting soiled trays from patient units.
  5. Maintaining cleanliness in dishroom, stripping trays, emptying garbage, and maintaining equipment.
  6. Participating in health, safety, and quality control activities, including food safety regulations and proper PPE use.
  7. Following department policies, procedures, and standards consistently.
Qualifications
  • Current Food Handlers Certification (required).
  • Minimum Grade 10 education or equivalent.
  • Strong customer service skills; food service experience preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills; experience with tablets is an asset.
  • Good initiative, problem-solving skills, and effective communication.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent attendance and work performance record.
  • Commitment to a safe and healthy workplace, complying with policies and legislation.
Work Schedule

Various shifts including evenings and days, every other weekend. Schedules may change based on operational needs.

Compensation

Range: $25.03 - $27.30 per hour.
