Position: Food Service Associate

Job Type: Part-Time / Non-Exempt

Shift Details: Saturday and Sunday 7:00 AM-6:00 PM

Work Location: Crisis - Wake Recovery Response Center; Raleigh, NC

Salary/Hourly Wage: $15.00 - $16.00/hour

Specialties / Licenses or Certifications: Active and valid Food Handler’s Certification required.

Summary of Job: The Food Service Associate is responsible for preparing and serving food under the direction of the Food Service Manager.

  • Guest Care & Advocacy: Prepares and serves food in accordance with food safety requirements and departmental procedures.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Maintains the cleanliness of the kitchen by using proper food handling techniques.
  • Ensures all food is dated and disposed of after sell date.
  • Monitors refrigerator temperature and documents on daily temperature log.
  • Keeps abreast of all federal and state regulations and laws and all Recovery Innovations policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.
  • Understands and adheres to Recovery Innovations compliance standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policies.
  • Additional Duties: Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed must be representative of the knowledge, skills, minimum education, training, licensure, experience, and/or ability required.   • Education/Licenses: High School Diploma or equivalent. Active and valid Food Handler’s Certification required.
  • Experience: Minimum of six (6) months of food service experience. Familiarity with Food Safety Regulations.
  • Skills: Strong Organization Skills. Basic computer skills. Must be able to pass de-escalation training, as defined by state requirements.
  • Driving Requirements: If driving is required for this position, must meet all requirements outlined in Recovery Innovations driving policy. If not qualified to drive per driving policy, a Non-Driver Attestation form must be signed.
  • Miscellaneous Requirement(s): Travel required based on business need. Must be at least 18 years old unless residing in a state where funder or government regulations set a different minimum age requirement. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality (HIPAA guidelines and regulations) and professionalism. We are a Second-Chance Employer.

A Program Support Competency Checklist must be completed as part of the new hire onboarding process.

Physical Demands: May include work close to the eyes and substantial motions of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers. Frequent standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling, reaching, climbing/balancing on a step stool to reach supplies/equipment, walking, handling, finger dexterity; eye-hand-foot coordination, use of corrected vision; color vision; use of auditory senses. May be required to lift and carry up to fifty (50) pounds.

Work Environment: May work in an office environment or behavioral health facility where some hazardous conditions may exist.
