Our client is a dynamic and rapidly growing healthy food company located in Montreal West. We are seeking a talented, bilingual Senior Food Scientist to join their innovative R&D team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of creating delicious, healthy snacks. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Leading R&D in the ready-to-eat industry
  2. Developing new products from concept to full-scale production
  3. Creating recipes, making samples, and communicating with customers
  4. Setting up and managing full-scale production trials
  5. Creating production forms and finished product specifications
  6. Performing and managing sensory evaluations of current and new products
  7. Managing one R&D technician
  8. Organizing and managing multiple projects while meeting deadlines and communicating progress
  9. Optimizing bar recipes to align with production capabilities and processes
  10. Identifying and implementing cost-saving initiatives
  11. Providing technical R&D support to other departments
  12. Staying updated on government regulations regarding ingredients and food labeling
  13. Understanding various certifications such as Non-GMO, Kosher, Organic, etc.
  14. Performing other related tasks as needed
