A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to join a manufacturing company in the Niagara region. The role requires overseeing food safety and quality systems to ensure product compliance with specifications, leading a QC team, and managing audits and corrective actions. Candidates should have a degree in Food Science or a related field, HACCP and PCQI certification, and a minimum of three years of experience in an FDA-regulated environment. Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of supervisory or management experience.
Experience in an FDA-regulated food manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
Oversee food safety and quality systems to ensure products meet specifications.
Partner with production leadership to resolve quality and food safety issues.
Lead, train, and schedule Quality Control (QC) staff.
Manage preventive controls and non-conformance investigations.
Oversee finished product hold and release processes.
Manage third-party laboratory testing and review results.
Maintain audit readiness through inspections and audits.
Lead and support 2nd and 3rd party audits.
Support regulatory audits for FDA and local authorities.
Oversee sanitation, allergen control, and pest control programs.
