Job summary

FED ManuTech is seeking a Quality Control Laboratory Technician for a food manufacturing company located on Montreal’s South Shore. The role reports to the quality department supervisor and focuses on ensuring raw materials, packaging, blends, and finished products meet quality standards.

You will perform sensory assessments, prepare COAs and certificates of analysis, and participate in GMP inspections. Strong organizational skills and experience with ERP systems are essential for success.

Qualifications

• College diploma in Food Processing or equivalent quality assurance training.
• At least 2 years in a similar role in a food environment.
• 1 year in an SQF-certified or GFSI-compliant environment.
• Bilingual in French and English (written and spoken).
• Proficient with MS Office 365; ERP experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assess compliance of raw materials, packaging, blends, and finished products.
• Support GMP inspections and pre-operational checks.
• Prepare COAs, production reports, and customer documentation.
• Calibrate scales and metal detectors; verify QC equipment.
• Conduct in-process inspections to ensure quality requirements.
• Investigate non-conformances and customer complaints.
• Maintain quality records in ERP system; support continuous improvement.
