As our Food Production Manager, you'll play a crucial role in overseeing the timely and safe preparation of food, adhering to health codes and regulations. This dynamic position involves producing and maintaining production schedules, directing daily activities of the production staff, and collaborating with dietary teams on menu planning. You'll manage inventory, maintain accurate reports, and ensure a hazard-free working environment. Job Responsibilities

  • Produce and maintain production schedules and productions records.
  • Direct daily activities of the production staff.
  • Maintains food production that ensures the safety and quality of food according to policies, procedures, and requirements.
  • Ensure that food items are stored in a safe, organized, and hazard-free environment.
  • Maintain all serving schedules; ensure that all food items are served and sent per menu specifications in a safe and appropriate manner according to location policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with dietary staff on menu planning.
  • Maintain a sanitary department following health and safety codes and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate reports of daily, weekly, and monthly production and activity reports.
  • Maintain accurate inventory on a weekly basis according to needs for all locations.
  • Must be knowledgeable in operating an efficient cost-effective program.
  • Supervise and evaluate the production team, promoting growth, efficiency, morale, and teamwork.
  • Maintain a safe and hazard-free working environment.
  • Train/Mentor other food service workers.
  • Maintain logs on all maintenance required on equipment within the production department.
  • Monitor preventative maintenance checklist.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or Food Safety Certification (e.g., HACCP) and any other relevant certifications.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in food production management or a similar role.
  • Expertise in cook-chill technology and processes.
  • Strong understanding of food safety regulations, health codes, and quality control procedures.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Proficiency in inventory management and production scheduling.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with food production equipment and maintenance procedures.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
