Job summary

R. Denninger Limited is a leading food company with Southern Ontario operations, dedicated to quality and sanitation. This role focuses on cleaning and sanitizing production equipment, tools and surfaces in a meat-packaging plant, supporting food safety and regulatory compliance.

You will work early shifts in a fast-paced, refrigerated environment, follow established cleaning protocols, handle cleaning chemicals safely, and collaborate with teams to maintain a clean and hygienic facility.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a sanitation or cleaning role is an asset.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper usage and safety procedures.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Comfortable working with raw meat products (beef, pork, chicken).
• Ability to stand and perform repetitive work for extended periods of time.
• Comfortable with assisting other departments as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize production equipment, tools, and surfaces following established protocols to ensure food safety and compliance with health regulations.
• Utilize appropriate cleaning agents and techniques to effectively remove residues and contaminants.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting in common areas, offices, restrooms, and other facility spaces.
• Empty and dispose of trash and recycling materials in a timely manner.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Adhere to hygiene standards and procedures to ensure a safe environment for food production.
• Assist with the implementation and enforcement of company sanitation policies and procedures.
• All other duties as assigned.
