Nature Of The Work

The principal and customary work of an employee in this class of employment consists in helping management or professional staff of food services by carrying out technical work, such as participating in the preparation of menus, quality control of meals and cost studies.

Daily Tasks/Dossiers
  • Prepare trolleys
  • Empty trolleys
  • Keep trolleys and stockroom clean
  • Prepare daily dairy products in refrigerators
  • Place food orders on a timely basis
  • Plan inventory for 8 days of production
  • Receive and put away food orders
  • Make labels for food products being sold
  • Perform food costing of all recipes
  • Keep a copy of all invoices for reference
  • Coordinate Chef Tech orders at least 2 weeks in advance
  • Maintain records using Excel
  • Follow up on equipment repairs, including communication with admin and scheduling repairs
  • Perform any other related duties
