Job summary

A&W Whitehorse (Turnaround Foods Ltd.) is seeking 4 full-time, permanent Food Counter Attendants to start immediately at 2222 2nd Avenue, Whitehorse, Yukon. Wage is $21/hr with 35-40 hours per week. English required; benefits include Medical, Dental, and RRSP options.

Role involves taking orders, preparing food, serving customers, and maintaining clean, sanitary stations. The McMurray Group owns and operates A&W Restaurants across Western Canada.

Qualifications

• Ability to deal well with a variety of people, team player.
• Initiative, good judgement, decision making and working well with authority.
• Responsible, reliable, honest.
• Standing and walking for extended periods.
• Some heavy lifting.
• Acceptable oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Take customer orders and process payments at the counter.
• Prepare and serve food items including sandwiches and beverages.
• Keep all stations clean and sanitized.
• Stock refrigerators, cupboards, and service areas.
• Assist team members and maintain logs for food usage.
• Unload deliveries and store supplies properly.
• Sweep, mop floors and dispose of waste.
• Answer customer questions about menu items.
