Job summary

Firehouse Subs is hiring a friendly Food Service Counter Attendant in Saskatoon. The role involves greeting customers, taking orders, preparing and serving food, handling transactions, and keeping the counter clean.

No prior restaurant experience is required, as training will be provided; ideal candidates have strong customer service, basic math for cash handling, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This is a part-time or full-time position with CA$15.60 per hour.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred but not required.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude.
• Knowledge of POS systems, including NCR, Toast.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy.

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Service Counter Attendant. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving food, handling transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast‑paced setting. Previous restaurant or food service experience is preferred but not required, as training will be provided. This position offers an opportunity to develop valuable skills in food handling, cashiering, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with greater energy and assist them with menu selections

• Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for accurate order processing and cash handling
• Manage transactions efficiently while providing excellent customer service

Pay:

Additional Requirements:

• Computer skills including some Microsoft software and register skills
• Ability to stand, bend, reach and scoop through-out assigned shift
• Ability to be mobile in walk-in refrigerator and freezer with temperatures ranging from 40° F to -10° F
