Job description

POSITION PURPOSE:

To ensure maximum operational excellence is achieved through daily supportive measures for the Food Production Center Facility including daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly reports. To offer additional support in ordering and printing labels, performing store packing audits.

DAILY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operations:

  • Administrative work such as Ordering of supplies, Merchandise Report and Payroll entries.
  • Completion and submission of daily tracking sheets, invoices, service payables.
  • Daily support to all internal and external, third-party vendors in communications and emails.
  • Completion of corporate memos as required by the Food Center Manager.
  • Completing daily store shortage reports, Known Shortage Report (KSR) and uploading on VTS.
  • Completion of service payables as required and tracking the payments.
  • Ability to review CRM systems and track all daily store orders or wholesale purchase orders.
  • Data entry for daily sales tracking and production scheduling or reporting as requested by Food Center Manager.
  • Daily label ordering, formatting, printing and verification or as required.
  • Ability to calibrate label printers when required.
  • Using smart sheets for blocking and deleting items as and when required.
  • Ability to create manual charge list or manual invoices when required.
  • Ensuring that the common staff areas are kept tidy and safe. This includes monitoring the staff coffee and tea beverage areas in the lunchroom.
  • Provides feedback and ideas on how to make process improvement to assigned tasks
  • Helps with process improvement projects as needed
  • Assisting in recipe price check/ vendor price check.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Human Resources & Safety:

  • Follows HR practices and procedures for positive discipline.
  • Reporting the Food Center’s Health and Safety Committee of any safety concerns.
  • Assisting the management team in reporting WCB and Injury Incident Reports when required.
  • Assisting Food Center Manager in documentation when required. (Hiring, Leave of Absence, Vacations, etc.)

Qualifications:

  • Minimum grade 12 or equivalent
  • MS Office and Computer knowledge is required.
  • Data entry experience is an asset.
  • Minimum of 1 year of working experience

This position requires excellent communication skills, both oral and written, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to prepare and deliver effective presentations. It also requires the ability to communicate clearly to all levels of employees from store level staff to market and division management. Must be able to write and verbalize responses to situations to ensure information is understood. Strong interpersonal skills are required along with basic mathematical skills and the ability to analyze and interpret financial reports. The job requires automobile travel on a daily basis and may include airline and overnight travel depending on geographic area.
