Job description

F&B Team Leader is responsible for delivering exceptional customer focused service under the direction of the Restaurant Manager or Supervisor, through adherence to InterContinental Hotels Group Policies and Procedures and local hotel policies and procedures.

Adhere to local regulations concerning health, safety, or other compliance requirements, as well as brand standards and local policies and procedures

Job Responsibilities
  • Deliver Food and Beverage service of high standard and in accordance with Room Service departmental standards and procedures
  • Prepares for service by ensuring:
    • Grooming is impeccable and in accordance with ICHG personal presentation standards
    • Equipment is sorted and stored
    • Room Service food trolley are set up
    • Payment methods are handled accurately
    • Working areas are cleaned and re-set quickly
  • Responsible Business:
    • Food and beverage stock is stored in relation to hotel procedures
    • Performs related duties and special projects as assigned
    • Demonstrate Awareness of OH&S policies and procedures and ensure all procedures are conducted safely and within OH&S guidelines and ensure your direct reports do the same
    • Be aware of duty of care and adhere to occupational, health and safety legislation, policies and procedures
    • Be familiar with property safety, first aid and fire and emergency procedures and operate equipment safely and sensibly
    • Initiate action to correct a hazardous situation and notify supervisors of potential dangers
    • Log security incidents and accidents in accordance with hotel requirements
Accountability

This position is responsible for delivering exceptional customer focused service under the direction of the Room Service Manager or Supervisor, through adherence to InterContinental Hotels Group Policies and Procedures and local hotel policies and procedures. You will also help to promote a desired work culture around our Winning Ways of the InterContinental Hotels Group and embrace the IHG Commitment.

What we need from you
  • High School or Vocational Certificate in Hotel Management, Food & Beverage, or related field, with 1 year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Obtained alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local government agency.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company.
