Job Description

WHAT'S THE JOB?
The Food and Beverage Supervisor reports directly to the Lodge manager and collaborates closely with the Chef and Manager to maintain meal service standards in Food and Beverage and offsite lunchrooms. Responsibilities include coaching, training, and upholding company standards.

Position Details:

  • Remote work lifestyle in a Nunavut camp setting with amenities including all meals and accommodations, travel from Edmonton, AB, private room with cable TV, Wi-Fi, laundry facilities, gym, and common areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise dining room operations within a remote lodge setting.
  • Transport staff and supplies to offsite locations.
  • Train and mentor staff on dining standards.
  • Set up dining and lunchroom areas daily, including arranging settings, salad bars, cleaning, and stocking.
  • Serve guests, conduct audits, manage inventory, assist in kitchen tasks, and produce large-volume menu items.

Physical Demands

  • Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Climb ladders and stairs.
  • Stand, walk, squat, kneel, or sit for extended periods.
  • Perform repetitive hand work and work with arms above shoulder height.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years in food service or hotel management.
  • Food safety certification (SafeCheck or HACCP) is an asset.
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license and recent driver’s abstract.
  • Experience in large-volume menu production.
  • Supervisory and training experience.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and POS systems.
  • Effective communication and confidentiality skills.
