Overview:
As a Shift Lead, you will manage daily operations of the restaurant during your shift, maintain service flow, and create a welcoming environment for members and guests. Your role includes leading the team during your shift, ensuring member satisfaction, and upholding training and operational standards.
Guided by the Director of Food & Beverage and the Restaurant Manager, and in collaboration with the Catering Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in creating a fantastic dining experience.
Wage: $20-$22 per hour + gratuities
Availability: Minimum 30-40 hours per week, Tuesday to Sunday, primarily dinner service.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of service staff, ensuring they provide high-quality service and follow procedures.
- Ensure that all members and guests have an excellent dining experience by assisting with service, addressing complaints, and solving problems when necessary.
- Oversee the shift’s operational flow, including opening/closing duties, and food safety practices.
- Keep up-to-date on all menu offerings and bar selections.
- Refresh, clear and, re-set tables when needed in an efficient manner.
- Ensure member bills are posted and processed correctly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the restaurant and kitchen areas, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Foster a positive, team-oriented environment, providing encouragement and motivation to staff.
- Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism, customer service, and leadership skills.
Requirements:
- 2 years’ experience in a Food & Beverage role; appreciated but not required.
- Ability to effectively lead a team and work efficiently.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure.
- Basic knowledge of POS systems.
- Multi-tasking proficiency and ability to prioritize.
- Ability to withstand extended periods of standing, and other physically demanding conditions.
- Valid Serving It Right Certificate.
