Gateway is seeking a dynamic, outgoing, and energetic Food & Beverage Representative who loves creating buzz and excitement, as well as providing an outstanding and personalized guest experience. As a Food & Beverage Representative, you will increase guest loyalty by building a client network and promoting events and products. You should be able to manage guest needs with a smile, possess excellent listening skills, and create a warm, memorable dining experience. Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and demonstrate expert knowledge of products, events, and promotions
  • Take orders, expedite, and serve food and beverages accurately within time guidelines
  • Participate in promotional activities including social media, events, and photo sessions
  • Introduce or present live entertainment as required

What You Bring

  • Two or more years of experience in a high-volume restaurant (casual dining) environment
  • Cash handling experience using POS system or cashier register
  • Experience in tourism, promotion, marketing, entertainment, or events is preferred
  • Serving It Right (BC), Proserve (Alberta), or Smart Serve (Ontario) certification
  • World Host / Super Host or similar customer service certification is preferred
  • Proven selling, marketing, and service skills in dining, retail, or promotions
  • Food Safe Level 1 certification
  • Effective public speaking skills and presence
  • Ability to carry up to 30 pounds, especially a fully loaded serving tray
  • Knowledge of specialty food and beverage items
  • Successful in-house testing on food and beverage knowledge and service delivery
