Job Description
Salary Range - $58,000 - $60,000 per annum - pro-rated to tenure.
Reporting to the Director of Food & Beverage, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Consistently offer professional, engaging, and friendly service.
- Follow departmental policies, procedures, and service standards.
- Liaise with the Director of F&B & Executive Chef to ensure achievement of VOG, LQA, and Budget goals.
- Participate in the creation, implementation, and follow-up of action plans related to EES feedback.
- Collaborate with Restaurant Outlet Managers & Sous Chefs to ensure outlets’ visions and goals are achieved.
- Effectively communicate the offerings for all food and beverage outlets within the hotel.
- Assist in developing menu packages to drive outlet business.
- Participate actively in department head meetings, team-building efforts, and other activities.
- Ensure VIP profiles and requests are communicated to the F&B & Kitchen teams.
- Communicate all allergy and dietary requests to the F&B & Kitchen teams.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as required.
- Provide administrative support to the F&B & Kitchen teams.
- Monitor and maintain payroll, vacation, and statutory holiday records.
- Manage employee files and ensure all paperwork is completed.
- Attend meetings as a minute-taker.
- Post and update information in departments and on communication boards, maintaining these spaces.
- Develop and maintain constructive, harmonious relationships between departments.
- Coordinate menu design and marketing efforts, including printing and distribution.
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies.
- Adhere to vehicle handling and safety policies when driving hotel and guest vehicles.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Your experience and skills include:
- Knowledge of duties across all Front Office and Guest Services areas.
- Knowledge of F&B operations required.
- Proficiency in Opera PMS required.
Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel cannot assist with obtaining Canadian work authorization.
