Job Description

The Food & Beverage Banquet Supervisor is responsible for the delivery of four diamond level service of all our banquet and catering events. Ensure delivery of proper training and supervision to deliver prompt, courteous service in a manner that complies with Omni food and beverage standards and company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain food & beverage standards and consistent guest experience in keeping with Omni’s standards and guidelines
  • Complete all required reports and billings pertaining to events
  • Motivate and develop associates with emphasis on continuously striving for excellence in service
  • Close coordination and communication with other departments
  • Inspect all banquet floors regularly to ensure that they are maintained to the hotel standards
  • Actively engaged with our guests and all hotel associates
  • Assist Banquet Manager with team meetings, training, scheduling, and payroll
  • Encourage associates to create unique, personalized memorable experiences at every opportunity
  • Support Outlets, as needed, to ensure a smooth and efficient operation within food & beverage across the hotel
  • Other duties as assigned by the Banquet Manager
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or College diploma in Hotel Management preferred
  • Minimum 1 year experience in executing banquet and catering events such as receptions, weddings, galas, and conferences
  • Minimum 1 year supervising within a union environment
  • Proficient with forecasting, cost controls and scheduling
  • Demonstrated leadership skills including employee growth and development, interdepartmental teamwork and exceptional customer service
  • Proven ability to multi-task, manage deadlines, and work well in a fast-paced environment
  • Sound ability to problem solve, make decisions and utilize good judgment
  • Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. MICROS POS experience preferred.
  • Must have SMART SERVE Certification
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Must be physically able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time and lift/push/pull up to 40 lbs
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
