Description
Position Title: F&B Supervisor – The Woods Restaurant
Reports to: Senior F&B Management, The Woods Manager
Wage: $22.00-$23.00/Hourly
Overview of Position:
- Lead a team of 20-30 staff in a fast-paced environment, maintaining high hospitality and service standards.
- Assist in menu creation, scheduling, cash management, inventory management, and other administrative tasks.
- Ensure the safe and responsible service of alcohol, complying with liquor laws and license terms.
- Oversee building maintenance and risk management around the restaurant.
- Communicate effectively with management through logs and daily verbal updates.
- Manage employee success through coaching and performance reviews.
- Maintain professionalism and grooming standards.
- Participate in weekly management meetings, offering guest experience improvement suggestions.
Experience and Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in full-service restaurant supervision.
- Minimum 2 years of serving/bartending in a full-service restaurant.
- Strong knowledge of wine and spirits.
- Inventory management experience is an asset.
- Experience managing large seasonal staff groups.
- Proficiency with computers and POS systems like Toast or similar.
- Tips/gratuities experience is an asset.
- Bartending and serving experience are assets.
- High knowledge of OpenTable.
- Must be 19 years old.
- Serve it Right certificate required.
Duties and Abilities:
- Stay focused and organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain attention to detail in communication.
- Perform administrative duties such as payroll, scheduling, and ordering.
- Manage budgets and labor costs.
- Handle data entry for financial reports and menus.
- Support staff on the floor to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Participate in monthly inventory counts.
- Supervise the outlet during shifts.
- Communicate with senior management regularly.
- Ensure staff adherence to SWP & SJP standards.
Working Conditions:
- Work long hours, overtime, especially during busy periods and holidays.
- Stand for extended periods.
- Lift up to 50 lbs, bend, and push repeatedly.
- Hospitality training is an asset.
Other Skills:
- Exceptional attention to detail and leadership skills.
- Passion for high-level customer service.
- Strong cash handling experience.
- Working knowledge of POS systems like Toast.
