Food & Beverage Manager
In the role of Food & Beverage Manager, you will:
- Be A Visionary - You know how to deliver a successful and modern food & beverage experience. You keep up with trends and understand what is cutting edge as well as what guests want and expect from our operations. You help the Director of Food & Beverage make it all happen while delivering a bottom line result.
- Walk the Talk - You are always out and about, inspecting the areas you are responsible for, recognizing departments and/or staff that deserve kudos, as well as those areas needing training, maintenance, or other improvements. While out, you connect with guests and staff to ensure everything is running smoothly. You actively listen for opportunities to help or improve the experience and report your findings to the Food & Beverage Director. You should know your team, and they should know you.
- Be a Finance Guru - You understand proper staffing, budgeting, and forecast management. You focus on these areas daily, ensuring appropriate scheduling and efficient operation of outlets to achieve or surpass bottom-line results.
- Be the Manager on Duty - As required, you will act as the manager on duty, overseeing daily operations and ensuring guest satisfaction.
Job Requirements
- At least five years of progressive experience in food & beverage in a resort or hotel is required, with college coursework and prior supervisory experience preferred.
- You must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively and professionally in English.
- You must handle difficult situations and people professionally.
- You will regularly use a computer and various software programs.
- Certified alcohol training is required.
- Physical requirements include the ability to work long hours, exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and 20 pounds frequently, bending, stretching, twisting, reaching, and working under variable temperatures and noise levels.
- Near vision and the ability to stand for long periods are necessary.
