Job summary

Attorney General | Procureur général is seeking a seasoned FOI and privacy specialist to provide leadership, guidance and training on the interpretation and application of FIPPA across Ontario's justice system. You will manage complex FOI requests, advise on exemptions and disclosures, and lead the appeals process while collaborating with Legal Services and IPC to ensure timely, compliant outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and training on FIPPA interpretation and application
• Manage complex FOI requests, apply exemptions and disclosure rules
• Advise program areas on searches, data collection and disclosure obligations
• Research IPC orders and case law to assess disclosure decisions
• Lead appeals process with multiple stakeholders and prepare supporting docs
• Plan and deliver training to promote compliance across the org
• Prepare briefings and executive materials for senior management
