Job summary

Western Energy - Well Servicing is seeking a Floorhand to support Derrickhand and Driller in well servicing operations. The role involves rig floor activities, equipment preventative maintenance, and general labour tasks as assigned.

Floorhand will assist in driving equipment to and from job sites and adhere to client requirements, company procedures and safety standards. This full-time seasonal position requires at least 18 years of age with a preference for prior Floorhand experience, a valid

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• Previous well servicing Floorhand experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transport required.
• Air Brakes endorsement preferred; H2S Alive and first aid certifications advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform general labour duties and support Derrickhand/Driller.
• Maintain and clean equipment under supervision.
• Participate in pre-job safety meetings and hazard assessments.
• Identify unsafe conditions and report immediately.
• Maintain good housekeeping at the rig site.
• Communicate effectively with crew and supervisors.

Job description

TheFloorhandis responsible for supporting the Derrickhand and Driller in well servicing operations. This position will perform rig floor activities, conducting preventative maintenance on rig equipment, and general labour tasks as assigned. Floorhand will assist in driving equipment to and from job sites and all other assigned duties in accordance with client requirements, company procedures and safety standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform general labour duties
• Clean and maintain equipment under direction of Driller or Rig Manager
• Participate in pre-job safety meetings, hazard assessments and emergency response drills
• Identify and report unsafe conditions, incidents, near misses, and equipment hazards immediately.
• Maintain good housekeeping standards throughout the rig site
• Work as part of team, communicating with crew members and supervisors

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Minimum 18 years of age
• Previous well servicing experience working in Floorhand position is preferred

• Valid full Class 5 Drivers license & reliable transportation
• Air Brakes Endorsement is preferred
• Industry Certifications Preferred:
  • Valid H2S Alive
  • Valid Standard First Aid with CPR
  • CSO (Common Safety Orientation)
  • Floorhand Competency considered an asset
• Ability to pass pre-employment testing
• Fluent in Written/Spoken English
• Be willing to work in all weather conditions and work environments with work away from home for periods of time
