Job description

Position Summary

Under the direct supervision of the Manager, Security, this position is responsible for the safety and protection of team members, guests, the facility (both internal and external), and the company's assets. The role contributes to a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members, ensuring adherence to the Company's policies and procedures. The security team member motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian's learning environment while establishing a secure and friendly atmosphere.

Key Accountabilities
  1. Monitor, document, and prepare reports on violations, unsafe conditions, hazards, suspicious persons or activities.
  2. Enforce restricted access for unauthorized persons.
  3. Observe transactions, perform fills, transfers, and related tasks.
  4. Escort cash and cash equivalents.
  5. Report found property, tag items, and transfer to Lost and Found.
  6. Conduct regular patrols of the interior and exterior of the facility.
  7. Escort guests and team members as directed.
  8. Perform identification checks as required.
  9. Refer disputes to the Supervisor, Security.
  10. Manage crowd control as directed.
  11. May perform electronic surveillance of non-gaming facilities, including exterior and adjacent properties.
  12. Enroll guests in the Self-Exclusion Program if applicable.
  13. Communicate effectively with operational departments.
  14. Build strong relationships with guests and team members.
  15. Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and other statutory requirements.
  16. Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Qualifications
  1. Availability to work flexible hours, including overnights, weekends, and holidays.
  2. Minimum of 2 years of work experience.
  3. Serving it Right Certificate.
  4. Security license (asset).
  5. Guard Force Training (asset).
  6. Occupational First Aid Level 2 Certificate (asset).
  7. Willingness to recertify every 3 years for Use of Force Certification.
  8. Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License.
Work Environment Considerations

Regular casino environment, requiring prolonged standing and walking, with non-traditional work hours.
