Job summary

Leon’s Furniture Limited in Canada is seeking a Part Time Showroom Helper to assist the Merchandise Manager in creating functional and appealing product displays that showcase our merchandise and ensure layouts meet customers’ needs.

You will follow the Merchandise Manager's directions to set up product displays throughout the showroom, including loading, unloading, and moving items as required, while maintaining a neat and inviting presentation.

Qualifications

• Some heavy lifting required.
• Ability to move and place products.
• Ability to assemble merchandise.
• Ability to interpret and apply directions from Decorator and Merchandise Manager, to create the envisioned space.
• And most importantly, a POSITIVE ATTITUDE!

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trailers and delivery trucks
• Complete inspections with the Service department and customers
• Complete an Accessory Inventory semi-annually
• Unwrap and re-wrap products as required, for delivery or pickup
• Assist the decorator by moving new merchandise from the warehouse to the showroom, moving damaged merchandise to clearance, etc.
• Computer work – use operating system to research product information, prices and specs
• Assembling and setting up merchandise
• Helping to construct and deconstruct displays for promotions
• Decorating and tagging products for promotions
• Upkeeping product display and the overall presentation of the showroom
• Performing various other duties, as assigned

Compensation

The starting hourly rate for this position is $17.70.
