• This is a floating farm and nursery so you must be comfortable working on boats and floating platforms/rafts
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. throughout the day
• Extra skills that are not required but would be beneficial:
• Boat license
• Small crane operating experience

List of Duties

Tasks include, but are not limited to:

• Repairing/building new nursery systems
• Loading/splitting/harvesting oyster seed from floating pouches
• Grading and screening oyster seed
• Reporting oyster seed health numbers to farm management
• Fanny Bay Oysters is looking for workers to help us maintain and grow our floating farms and nursery in the Okeover Inlet and Desolation Sound area
• Our crew is mainly based out of the Powell River/Lund area and works under our Farm Manager and Director of Farms
• We are looking for crew that are interested in helping us create and maintain Canada’s largest oyster nursery
• Our crew generally works 7AM – 3PM on the water, weather depending
• Full time positions are available starting at $20-$22 per hour depending on experience, with a comprehensive benefits package
