Penticton and District Society for Community Living (PDSCL) seeks a Temporary Full-Time Floater – Support, Youth, and Activity to provide coverage across programs in Penticton and Summerland. Reporting to the Program Coordinator, the Floater supports children, youth, adults and families by promoting independence, inclusion and skill development through community-based activities.

Formación

• Completion of a diploma or equivalent certification in a related Human Services, Social Services, Recreation, or related field.
• Minimum of one (1) year of recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL), or willingness to obtain.

Responsabilidades

• Participate in assessments, goal setting, and program planning for individuals.
• Support clients in developing life skills, social skills, and independence.
• Teach personal care, toileting, meal preparation, budgeting, and household safety.
• Facilitate recreational, educational, social, and vocational activities.
• Administer medication in accordance with established policies and procedures; maintain progress reports.
