Job summary

A leading aviation solutions firm based in Dorval is seeking an Independent Contractor for the role of Flight Deck Integration & Human Factors Engineer. This position focuses on ergonomics and compliance with aviation standards in cockpit interface design. Candidates should possess 6–9 years of experience in flight deck systems or avionics integration and strong technical writing skills. The role allows for hybrid work and involves occasional business trips. Expected start is Spring 2026.

Qualifications

• 6–9 years of experience in flight deck systems or avionics integration.
• Knowledge of flight operations and aerospace regulations.
• Familiarity with standards (MIL STD, SAE ARP, ARINC).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain HMI design specifications for flight deck displays and controls.
• Perform requirements capture, verification & validation.
• Lead small projects and provide technical guidance.
• Support development and certification testing (bench, simulator, aircraft).
• Ensure adherence to aerospace regulations and standards.
• Conduct Human Error Analysis and assist in design reviews.
