Job summary

GEF Seniors Housing in Edmonton is seeking casual kitchen, dining room and housekeeping staff to cover shifts across our sites. The roles offer flexible hours, mileage between sites, and no regular schedule but a variety of shifts to meet organizational needs.

Candidates should have strong English communication, experience in food prep or dining service is preferred, and training can be provided. This in-person, resident-facing position requires reliability and a focus on resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Strong English communication skills are required, both written and verbal.
• Experience in food preparation, serving meals, baking, or cooking is an asset.
• Training can be provided.
• Experience as a server in a dining room and performing commercial housekeeping is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Kitchen duties: food preparation, portioning and labeling food, cooking and cleaning kitchen areas.
• Dining Room duties: greeting residents, serving meals, setting and clearing tables.
• Housekeeping duties: cleaning common areas, dining room and kitchen, disinfecting, laundry, restocking supply areas.
• Responding to emergencies as needed.
