Responsibilities:

• Service and maintain medium and heavy-duty trucks and mounted hydraulic equipment.
• Complete daily work orders and provide input pertaining to preventative maintenance, servicing and repairs, inspections, parts, and emergency repairs.
• Maintain service documentation records and complete reports of work performed.
• Review work orders and establish priorities with Garage Foreman.
• Troubleshoot and maintain hydraulic and electric systems.
• Perform all duties in compliance with all policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Road work on service trucks as required and some overnight stay as required.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Minimum of 2nd year apprenticeship in the Mechanical and/or Heavy-Duty Equipment trade.
• High School Diploma required.
• Knowledge of utility equipment is an asset.
• Experience with hydraulics, electrical, engines, and transmission is an asset.
• Welding experience is an asset.
• Required to provide own tools.
• Valid Class 1A or 3A Driver’s Licence – Driver’s abstract will be requested.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of off-road and heavy equipment, trucks, and trailers.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills as it relates to trucks and equipment.
