Job summary

Roofmart in Canada is seeking a skilled Mechanic to perform repairs and preventative maintenance on a 70+ asset fleet, including tractors, cranes, and service vehicles. The role involves local travel to the site of breakdowns and routine maintenance tasks.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in a similar role, diesel engine experience, and comfort with laptop-based troubleshooting. Monday to Friday, 11 AM–8 PM, great benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role; mechanical certifications are an asset.
• Experience with laptop troubleshooting software is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Performing repairs and maintenance on the fleet. They may need to travel locally on the road when a breakdown occurs.
• They repair diesel engines and hydraulic systems.
• They weld metal (aluminum welding is an asset).
• They complete work and inspection orders in accordance with the company's established standards and procedures.
• They perform any other related tasks as requested.
• Schedule: Monday to Friday 11 AM to 8 PM.
