Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years' experience working on heavy-duty trucks or equipment.
  • Valid Driver's Licence and clean driving record required.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Service and maintain medium and heavy-duty trucks and mounted hydraulic equipment
  • Maintain service documentation records and complete reports of work performed
  • Review work orders and establish priorities with Garage Foreman
  • Ensure the schedule for vehicle and equipment repairs are fulfilled as assigned
  • Troubleshoot and maintain hydraulic and electric systems
  • Continuously learn in welding, fabricating, and grinding, and gas and electric systems
  • Perform all duties in compliance with all policies, procedures and safety regulations
  • Maintain a valid driver’s licence to pick up, deliver and test vehicles
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience working on heavy duty trucks or heavy-duty equipment
  • Valid Driver’s Licence – Driver Abstract will be requested
  • High School Diploma required
  • Required to provide own tools
  • Related Technical Trade 310T Certificate is preferred though apprentices are also eligible
  • Knowledge of utility equipment is an asset
  • Hydraulic experience is an asset
  • Welding experience is an asset
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of heavy equipment, trucks and trailers
  • Accuracy diagnosing mechanical issues
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Cleanliness in working environment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills as it relates to trucks and equipment
