Job summary

Pratt & Whitney Canada in Longueuil, QC, is seeking a seasoned analyst to define customized FMP proposals for operators, including rate strategies and risk assessments. You will strategize product coverage with product managers and the global sales team, and assess aircraft utilisation and maintenance requirements.

You will validate profitability of proposal business cases through financial modelling, collaborate across supporting business units, and drive improvements to proposal procedures.

Qualifications

• University degree in Commerce, Finance or Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in analysis, pricing or modelling.
• Strong business acumen and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment.
• English proficiency; French environment.

You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team whose members come from both the commercial and technical aspects of the business. As part of this team, you will learn the basics of gas turbine engine operation as well as the commercial, environmental and technical issues that impact engine operating costs. You will be responsible for modelling and pricing of customer maintenance proposals.

This is a full-time position from Monday to Friday with flexible hours, based in Longueuil, and performed exclusively on-site.

What will your day-to-day look like?

• Define customized FMP™ proposals for operators including rate strategies and risk assessments
• Strategize product coverage with product managers and global sales team
• Conduct assessments of aircraft utilization and maintenance requirements
• Validate profitability of proposal business cases through financial modelling
• Collaborate and communicate with all supporting business units
• Advise and implement improvements to proposal procedures and financial models
• Support team in achieving an increased competitive presence
• Support the negotiation process until contract signature
• Evolve the FMP™ product to integrate new services in an integrated commercial offering supporting the market needs

What do you need to be successful?

• University degree (Commerce, Finance or Engineering)
• 5+ years of experience in analysis, pricing or modelling role
• Strong business acumen & attention to details
• Ability to work in a deadline-driven atmosphere & adapt to a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
• Experience with MS Office
• Understanding of aerospace aftermarket ecosystem an asset
• A constant learner, actively interested in updating skill sets and knowledge

This position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a very good knowledge of English to read and understand, on a daily basis, documentation and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.
