Job description

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Perform comprehensive preventative maintenance and safety inspections on trailers.
  2. Conduct minor to moderate repairs and major repairs as needed.
  3. Provide on-site or roadside response to troubleshoot issues.
  4. Diagnose and evaluate reported symptoms and problems.
  5. Troubleshoot technical faults efficiently.
  6. Enter work orders, document time, parts used, and repair details accurately.
  7. Communicate effectively and provide timely updates to team and clients.
  8. Work on a wide variety of equipment brands and types.
  9. Adhere to all safety guidelines and department SOPs.

Qualifications:

  1. Red Seal certification preferred.
  2. Minimum of 3 years experience in heavy-duty mechanics.
  3. Class 1 license is an asset.
  4. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  5. Strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
  6. Proficient in computer skills related to diagnostic equipment.
  7. Strong problem-solving skills.
  8. Ability to analyze and prioritize repairs and maintenance tasks.
